For over a year now, we have been offering a Saturday morning drumline group lesson for students in 6th grade-12th grade who are interested in improving their hands, feet and knowledge for marching band/indoor percussion.
Our beginner class is from 8:30am-10am and intermediate follows from 10:15am-11:45am
You can sign-up below and you or your student we will be placed in a designated group based on skill-level. Drum pad, Tall Snare Stand, and Sticks are required for these camps.

Our instructor Darrell Thomas Jones (DJ) is an experienced percussionist and educator with deep roots in the Central Valley percussion community. A product of Clovis Unified, he excelled in both tenors and snare during his school years, eventually becoming a drumline section leader. DJ went on to perform with the Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band and has since taught and directed percussion ensembles both locally and out of state, most recently earning a high percussion award at Wyoming’s state championships in 2023!
In addition to his teaching, DJ is a talented professional drummer, having performed internationally and recorded with numerous bands. His passion for percussion and dedication to his student's success makes him the perfect person to continue our Saturday Drumline.
