Dana Bentley

Owner / Founder / Modern & Vintage Gear Guru

Dana Bentley was in the 5th grade when he started playing the drums at his local elementary school on the central coast of California. His parents gave him his first snare drum when he was in the sixth grade and his first drum set while in the 7th grade.

Dana played in the marching band, jazz band, and concert band all through junior-high and high school. Even as a youngster, Dana was always interested in the anatomy of the drum itself; how it worked and how to make it sound good. While still in high school Dana recovered his first drum set and began buying, selling, and trading drums. That's where it all started.

Then in 1992, twenty-six year old Dana packed up everything in his beat-up 1970 BMW and moved to Fresno to open his dream drum shop. That same year, Bentley's Drum Shop opened with eight drum sets and less money than the tax on Donald Trump's worst car. That was when Dana was still parting his hair on the right!

Since then Bentley's has experienced incredible growth and success in the percussion industry. Today Bentley's Drum Shop is an award winning Five-Star drum shop with customers all over the world!

Dana strives to best meet the needs of drummers and percussionists as efficiently as possible!

Mark Temple

King of All Social Media for Bentley's Drum Shop. Mark has been a part of the Bentley's Drum Shop folklore since 1995. He volunteers his time to the store to help whenever he can.

He was Postal Demolition Derby 2005 Champ. Currently, he plays, practices, and rehearses as much as possible so he can become more than the "Norm" of the store.

Mark proudly plays DW Drums & Hardware, Sabian Cymbals and Vic Firth Drumsticks

Soren Harvey

Drum Repairs / Modifications

Soren has repaired drums from the craziest of conditions and turned them into full (better) working order! He's even restored water-damaged shells!

He can recut bearing edges, fills unwanted/extra holes and can re-drill holes to better accommodate hardware placement!

He currently plays for the local Foreigner tribute band 'Foreigner Unauthorized'.

Soren uses DW Drums & Hardware, Evans Drumheads, Vater Drumsticks and Sabian/Turkish Cymbals!

Mark Kerber

Drum Repairs / Restorations / Custom Hardware

Mark has repaired and restored both hardware and drums from the craziest of conditions and turned them into pieces of art! 

He loves restoring drums and learning about each drum he repairs! 

If you want a bass drum pedal or hi hat stand customized to a special finish/color, Mark can do that! 

 Mark plays DW Drums and Evans Drumheads but he loves trying out new things and expanding his knowledge on drums!

Alexis Rodriguez

Alexis has been drumming since the age of 12 where she started on concert snare but when her church's youth group was in need of a drummer, she began taking lessons from the drummer at her church!

She was involved with her high school's marching band where her love for music grew!

Alexis loves taking every opportunity to advance her skills as a musician and be as well-rounded in different genres of music as possible!

She proudly plays DW Drums & Hardware, Sabian Cymbals, Aquarian Drumheads and Vater Drumsticks! 

Her favorite drummers are Dave Elitch, Anika Nilles & Kaz Rodriguez! 

Robert 'Bob' Church

Bob comes from a musical family. His oldest brother Bill played on two albums by Van Morrison. He is the original bass player of the band Montrose. He then went on to perform with Sammy Hagar for 12 years and eleven LP's.

Bob has been playing drums for over 55 years, opening for many recording Artist's from the late 70's through the mid 80's, while forming many original and cover bands. He has a strong passion drumming and respects music of all genre's.

He is enthusiastic to continue his learning of drums, while reaching out to the younger generations to pick up a pair of drum sticks. And the beat goes on!

Joey Delgado

Drum Restoration / Shipping / Instructor

From Led Zeppelin and Porcupine Tree, to Charlie Parker and Miles Davis, Joey is influenced by and plays many styles of music, primarily rock, punk, and jazz. Joey started playing drums through Rockband, a video game that simulates playing instruments. He was already in jazz band by 7th grade on alto sax, but he heard a song called The Beast and the Harlot by heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, and his musical path on drums was set from then on.

Joey performed on drum set in the Field Shows and Indoor Percussion in high school which taught him how to read and play in time reliably. He then attended Fresno State to get a Jazz Studies Degree playing with jazz ensembles big and small, and studied with renowned jazz drummers Jaz Sawyer and Mark Ferber. Outside of school, he has played with many different bands of mant styles. He currently plays in his punk rock band I Figured it was Fiction and revolving jazz outfits with his jazz colleagues.

Joey offers expertise in Rock, punk and Jazz playing, technique to remove your playing limitations, and music history around the drums to better understand what's possible on the instrument.
