The shells feature a hybrid of Cherry and Mahogany wood! The Cherry wood is a rotary cut from hand-selected logs, which creates a very "musical" wood, that yields distinctive melodic clarity and a warmer tonality. The Mahogany ply's provide a more dark, mellow tonality that is an excellent choice for a range of musical settings. Combined with 2-ply heads this kit appeals to drummers that prefer a punchy, round timbre, and full pronounced sound!
